Are you interested in CW? Do you need to hone your paddle pounding skills? I am looking to start a net at night to practice code. Not everyone has an HF rig to practice CW. This is just in the planning stages, so I need input from everyone so let me know if this is something you would be interested in.

Greg,
I'm interested but I'm a rank beginner...probably not ready to send/read code until I buckle down and do some initial study and solo practice for about a month. I've been needing a kick in the pants to get going on this though. How about if I check back with you mid-April? David |

I want to get hams that want to learn code and hams that know code that can teach us beginners. I am still a beginner and want to improve. So you hams that would like to learn and those hams that are willing to teach please let me know, so we can coordinate a time to set-up a speacial net to help get us started.

Greg, I might be interested in getting in some CW practice on the air. The problem I see is what band to use, so we have good coverage of the local area. Years ago, there was an article in QST to send CW over a FM HT. I built it, and it worked pretty well with my old FT-470, but, don't use that rig anymore, as I'm using a VX-6R. I just finished building a Four Sate QRP Group EZKeyer, and it has a little solid state sounder in it. if we could figure out how to get our mikes to pick up sound. That way, we could use the PAPA repeater. Just a thought.

Pasadena Radio Club has a CW practice net on 28.13 MHz at 8 pm on Sunday nights. We can hear some people from as far as Long Beach & Azusa. Anyway, it is about 10 WPM & we don't care if you make mistakes. We are only just a little better.
