PAPA New Hams Contest

Rules:

• Your license must have been issued within the last year.
• You must register on the PAPA website in order to be eligible.
• You must add each person you talk to into your personal "Contact" list on the forum (instructions below).
• The winner will be the one with the most contacts with PAPA Members.
• You must contact the member directly, not in a net, unless you are acting as net control.
• The contest officially starts now, Tuesday, March 9, 2010.
• The prize will be a dual band radio, pre-programmed with all the PAPA analog repeaters.
• The prize will be awarded at the next PAPA Picnic.

To add a contact to your list:

• Log onto the forum at http://papasys.org (or .com)
• Click on "My Profile" on the upper left of the screen.
• Click on Contacts (under Networking). Note: PAPA members will see "Contacts & Friends"
• Key in the name and call (name - call) of the contact and click "Add Contact"
• You will see a drop-down list of all registered forum members and may click on the appropriate one. The list appears after you have keyed in 3 characters of the name and possibly one space.
• Remember to click on "Save Changes" before you exit or navigate away from the page.

Before the day of the PAPA Picnic, please submit a list of your Contacts by email to Cecil Casillas <wd6fza@earthlink.net>. The winner will be determined by Cecil and announced at the picnic. The contest officials reserve the right to verify all contacts with the contacted PAPA members. In case the members do not verify the contacts, the prize may be awarded to another contestant.
