What's the latest with 8, 1 and, 2. There have been problems with at least 8 and 1 that were going to be checked last weekend. There are no postings on the repeater forums about them.

The last I heard from Cecil was that a recent service attempt was unable to remedy the matter. One of the spare radio modules shipped up by Cecil to those that visited the hilltop (might have been Mark - AI6MM and/or Julian - K6JJW), tested fine on Cecil's bench, but proved to be unworkable on location.

I'm suprised there are no postings in the repeater forums about it. Also, 8 is unlinked and I don't know if the problem there has been resolved.

With any luck from the repeater gods, we're looking at Wednesday to have the link to 8 up and perhaps 1/2 also. I installed the replacement radio for the 1/2 link on Friday, but although all seemed to check out, it wasn't putting out a signal.

PAPA 8 is back up and functioning normally, but the link for PAPA 1&2 is still down. A trip to the hub is planned for Saturday post breakfast with more replacement parts and diagnostic equipment. Hopefully 1&2 will be reconnected with the rest of the system by Saturday afternoon.

The output of Papa 1 is down 90% we have to replace the power amplifier. I will try to schedule a trip ASAP.

I would be interested in going up to Papa 1/2 if possible, to help, if possible, and otherwise to just see what it is like up there. Also, just recently the audio on Papa 1 & 2 dropped for a bit and got scratchy (same as before). It lasted a couple minutes and then in mid-transmission cleared and returned to normal (someone else was talking and I was listening).
